9 SQUARE GRID

A competition entry to the Monaverse ‘Renaissance of the Metaverse’ build-a-thon.  A virtual playground in which to meet, interact and explore, focused around the display of digital works, both two dimensional and three. The gallery currently houses a self-referential exhibit, showcasing drawings and models that formed part of the design process (right).

 

Structured around a basic 9 square grid, the space has been formed through the diagramming, dissection and abstraction of four famous galleries. As these forms are layered one on top of another, a new space is created. A post-modern gallery for a post-digital age.
